Born in New Delhi, a head strong personality who defied his parents only to realize his dream as that was and is his passion. Contributing to hospitality, he has devoted more than quarter of a century working tirelessly achieving benchmarks and surpassing them every now and then. Guests and the team form the core components for him as he derives contentment seeing plentiful feedback from guests and his team members doing well for themselves in the luxurious industry.
Starting his career early, he has come a long way in this professional journey. Working with “Oberoi Group of Hotels” for a decade made him steadfast as he developed an eye for detail: in product, service and offering luxury. Having excelled with premium luxury hotels in the home country, he stepped on to an International platform at Maldives, a dream destination for him and so many others.
His assignment with Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) resulted in him transforming a hotel into a luxurious upmarket segment. He was Vice President for Atmosphere Resorts overlooking 6 resorts and is currently the Vice President International Hotels for a group of 100 plus hotels embarking on global expansion. Winning several international awards of repute like “Best General Manager” are a recognition of the niche product and exemplary work ethics instilled in him. These achievements drive him to further heights with utmost humility.
His contribution to tourism is evident from honorary positions held with Tourism Guilds in India. Furthermore, his association with American Hotel & Motel Association and Hotel & Catering International Management Association, London has played a great role in the international fraternity. His firm belief in being “jack of all trades, master of one” keeps him on his toes working in time for the challenging times ahead in luxury resorts, giving him an edge over his counterparts. His personality has a philanthropic side as well, post Tsunami he and his team reached out to the helpless and participated enthusiastically in bringing back normalcy by creating the much needed infrastructure. It is like home coming for him when he is invited to Catering Colleges and Institutes of Hotel Management as a visiting examiner or mentor to address the young hoteliers.
Cricket and sports in general keep him youthful while reads like Stephen Covey, Warren Buffet, Stephen Lundin inspire him in believing in his dreams. He has travelled extensively and has shouldered responsibilities of opening new properties, expansions, renovations and re-branding of international luxurious hotels.
